Math
Math State Assessments will be next week March 27th-29th! In preparation we will be having math boot camp this week to review all the concepts they will be tested over. Please have your child continue to study the math playbook!

Reading
This week we will start Theme 9 in Rigby. This theme discusses how we make and distribute goods and services. We will be focusing on making connections and comparing/contrasting information. We will also be starting new reading books and novels this week in our reading groups! I am excited to have the kids dive into books and really enjoy reading!

Spelling
This week in Rigby our spelling words are all nouns. The Rigby list is: boat, farm, airport, bamboo, cavern, cloud, clown, cluster, giant, sponge, person, fable, buzzard, author, and piano. For the challenge list we will be studying the prefix mis-: misbehave, mischievous, miserable, misfortune, misjudge, mislead, misspell, mistake, mistreat, and misunderstand.

Writing
We will continue to work on our autobiographies. There will be a permission form that will be in your child's Monday folder giving permission for them to publish their book.  Please sign it and return it to me this week.

Social Studies/ Science
This week we will continue to do experiments on sound and force and motion. The students will identify that the source of sound is vibrations and be able to discriminate between various pitches. We will also begin to observe that a force is applied to make objects move or stop moving.

Have a great week!
