November 18-22

Hi Families,
Can you believe that next week is Thanksgiving already?  I will not be updating my blog next week so here is all the information for the next two weeks.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! I love what it stands for and all of the yummy food that goes along with it.   I have so much to be thankful for with a wonderful family, students that I adore and a job I enjoy going to everyday! I hope that you have some time in the next couple of weeks to just sit back and enjoy all of your own blessings!

Upcoming Reminders:
Mon. Nov. 18(TONIGHT)-  PTO Skate Party from 6-8
Nov. 27-29- No school--Thanksgiving Holiday
Dec. 19-  Last Day of the 2nd Quarter
                Winter Party- 3:00
Dec. 20-Jan. 6 No School-- Winter Break

Reading-
We will continue to read How to be a Perfect Person in Just 3 Days as a whole class and will finish it before Thanksgiving.  The students are really enjoying the story.  Ask them what they are learning about being a perfect person?

Writing-
We will be doing some fun Thanksgiving writing this week.  We will write about what we are thankful for, as well as, write creative stories about turkeys in trouble.

Math-
We have finished learning about multiplication.  The students should know all of their basic facts now and we will continue to practice them regularly.  This week the students will begin Topic 7, the meaning of division.

Spelling and Vocabulary-
Our Force, Motion and Magnet test will be this Friday. Make sure you child is studying daily.

Science-
Our study this week will switch to magnets.  We will learn about what attracts and repels magnets and how magnets work.
