Hi Families,
We have just 9 more days of school! This will be my last official blog entry for the year, but I will keep you updated with important information via email through these last two weeks.
The students did such a FANTASTIC job on their Science Fair Projects! Hopefully, you were able to see their final project when they brought it home on Friday.
Here are a list of important "end-of-the-year" dates:
Tues., May 21--Assessment Reward Party at the Park (bring a sack lunch)
Thurs., May 23-- Field Day/ Last Day of School (this will be a FULL day of school) (bring a sack lunch)
This Week:
Reading- We will be ending the year with a fun Cinderella unit. The students will read and compare a variety of "Cinderella" books written from different cultures.
We will also meet for the last time in our reading groups to discuss the ending of the chapter books in which we have been reading.
Writing- We will complete our poetry unit by making a typed Poetry Book.
Math- The students will finish learning about Area this week with a final test on Friday. Students will also continue to practice their addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts. They need to be able to complete 100 problems of each kind in 5 minutes.
Science- We will spend this week discussing ecosystems.
Have a wonderful week! Enjoy the warm temperatures and the sunshine!
