Things will be returning to "fairly" normal this week with our regular learning and routines:
Reading-  We will be reading stories from Theme 16 which correlates with our science unit, recycling and natural resources.  They will also be working in reading groups.  The students have all transitioned into chapter books for their small reading group time.

Spelling- The spelling lists this week will contain words that require consonant doubling.  The test will be on Friday.

Writing- Students will be doing some creative writing this week.  We will be reading several childrens stories aloud, such as The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood.  They will be learning about Point of View as they re-write one of these stories from a different characters' perspective.

Math- We will be learning more about fractions this week.  This week's focus is learning how to compare fractions using several different strategies.

Science- We will continue to learn about recycling and natural resources.

Have a super week!
